CIBUL, the Centre for International Business at the University of Leeds, is the UK's premier research centre in international business, founded by the distinguished Professor Peter Buckley.

Since its launch in 1995, CIBUL has pursued a research strategy based on teamwork and co-authorship, well suited to the multidisciplinary nature of its field. Drawing on the resources of the internationally renowned University of Leeds, one of the largest research-led institutes in the UK, and of Leeds University Business School (3rd in Europe for research, FT 2006), CIBUL is able to unite the leading experts in international business.

CIBUL has been identified as the world's leading Centre of International Business research in International Business Review (Chan, Fung and Leung 2006) and as the second in the world for leadership in International Business research in Asia Pacific Journal of Management (Xu, Yalcinkaya and Seggie 2007). Leeds University Business School has consistantly been ranked in the World Top 10 for teaching in International Business (FT 2008). International Business Review (2010) places Leeds 15th in the world with Professor Peter Buckley as 6th top author. Within the University of Leeds, CIBUL has been designated as a Gold Peak of Excellence for the outstanding international calibre of its research.
