Adam Cross is a Senior Lecturer in International Business at Leeds University Business School and is Director of the Centre for Chinese Business and Development (CCBD), a joint venture between the Business School and the Department of East Asian Studies, University of Leeds. Prior to starting his academic career, Adam worked for five years as an international trader, dealing with some of the world's largest firms as both customer and supplier. Currently, Adam's research interests concentrate mainly on cross-border licensing; the management of intellectual property as a business asset; outward foreign direct investment from emerging markets and foreign market entry analysis, with China a major country focus for much of it. Adam teaches international business and intellectual capital management on a number of undergraduate and MBA programmes, both in the UK and overseas, and has taught on and organised numerous executive training programmes. He is a member of the operations committee of CIBER:Yorkshire, an organisation supported by UKTI to strengthen linkages between business and international business scholars in the region. Adam also currently manages two Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) to help companies build their export business. More details
