Giles Blackburne

Giles Blackburne graduated in Chinese Studies at the Polytechnic of Central London in 1989. He lectured in Chinese Politics & Economics at the University of Glasgow between 1991 and 1994 and was manager at China-Britain Business Council Scotland from 1994-2001. Giles designed and delivered a Chinese Studies programme at the University of Abertay Dundee from 2001 -2005, before re-joining CBBC, where as a Director, he provides strategic and practical advice to UK companies interested in the Chinese market. He is Co-Chair of the Association for Speakers of Chinese of a Second Language. His research interest is ‘business incubation as a mode of foreign market entry’
