Currently there are just two business-focused Confucius Institutes in Europe – at the University of Copenhagen and the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Activities that will take place within the Business Confucius Institute will include teaching of the Chinese language at different levels to students and external guests as well as setting up Chinese language teaching classrooms in community schools. The Institute will also conduct Chinese language tests, and Chinese cultural activities, as well as allowing for a Summer or Winter camp for students within the Confucius Institute to travel and stay in China for four weeks.

The Confucius Institute will allow for business related and student based activities. It will host short courses for UK and Europe-based Business Leaders and Managers intending to work, invest in or export to China, as well as tours and culturally orientated courses and introductions for British and European and British investors in China, as well as for Chinese investors into Europe.
