Competition! Win a copy of 'Lonely Planet: China'

To celebrate our upcoming Meet the Authors event with Lonely Planet Travel Guides contributor Megan Eaves, The Business Confucius Institute at the University of Leeds is giving away 10 copies of the most recent edition of the book!

To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to is complete both of the following steps:

1.    Post your favourite travel photo, with a description or short travel story to accompany it, on the Facebook event wall. These could be from China, Asia, Europe…anywhere in the world! We’d also LOVE to hear from any exchange students who have been travelling around Leeds and Yorkshire!

2.    Share the Facebook event on your timeline, tagging @BCIUL and @lonelyplanet.

The winners will be chosen at random from all the entries on 25/04/17.Good luck!

Terms and Conditions

  1. Competition is open to members of the public as well as staff and students of the University of Leeds.
  2. Facebook users will be entered into the draw at 12 noon on 25/04/17.
  3. Facebook users may post any number of times but user names will only be entered once.
  4. Prizes are for collection only. Books will be available for collection at the event on 26/04/17 or from the BCIUL office by appointment.
  5. Maximum one prize per participant.
  6. 10 prizes are available. Each will be one copy of the book ‘Lonely Planet: China.’
  7. The Confucius Institute and the University of Leeds will have free use of the post you submit, but you will retain ownership.
  8. Unforeseen events might mean we have to stop the competition or can’t award prizes, so we may need to vary or amend the promotion. We won’t be held liable if this happens.
  9. By entering you agree to these terms and conditions. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  10. Your entry must be your own work, must not be copied, must not contain any third-party materials and/or content that you do not have permission to use, must not include any trademarks, and must not show inappropriate or dangerous behaviour, or otherwise be obscene, defamatory, distasteful, offensive, or in breach of any applicable law or regulation, or in breach of any confidentiality obligations owed by you to third parties. We reserve the right to discount any entries which we deem inappropriate or do not meet competition guidelines.
