The Centre for International Business (CIBUL) has recently been awarded two prestigious Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) by the Department of Trade and Industry. The KTP scheme is Europe's leading programme to help businesses improve their competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills which reside in British universities. Two KTP Associates have been appointed to the Business School: Janan Thomson joined in January 2007 to work on a project for ASD Lighting, an electrical products manufacturer, and Katharina Burger joined in April 2007, working with Dawmed PLC, a leading manufacturer and supplier of disinfectors for the healthcare sector. Together with Adam Cross and Jeremy Clegg, the Associates will design and implement an export strategy for the two Rotherham-based companies.
