‘From Shore to Shore’, a project supported by the Business Confucius Institute at the University of Leeds, has just embarked on a national tour with a play based on interviews with Chinese migrants in the UK. The performance has an unusual twist, in that it is performed in Chinese restaurants.

Ellen Wang from the Business Confucius Institute spoke to the Yorkshire Evening Post about the project and why it is important to share the stories of Chinese migrants.

She said, “The Chinese make a big contribution in Leeds and I think it has been under-reported, hopefully this play can go some way to helping bridge that gap.”
